I saw this on Twitter and started reading it. It’s awesome. Sam Altman (@sama) and the Y Combinator people have put out a Startup Playbook. This enhances other resources out there like the book Do More Faster, The Lean Startup, The Hard Thing About Hard Things, and The Business Model Canvas.
There is so much common sense knowledge in this for startup founders, and for investors. Pretty impossible to quote from it because it’s all things that startup bloggers have blogged about for a long time. Interestingly, a lot of the observations are ones that I have seen out played in real life time and time again.
Startups are really hard. Great startups on the outside seem easy. But those of us that have been in the trenches know something different. If it were easy to take an idea and build a business around it, everyone would do and everyone would be successful.
